The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team returned to the win column Wednesday night with a dominant straight-set sweep of the visiting Kent Roosevelt Rough Riders, winning 25-17, 25-10, 25-17 at Louisville High School. With the victory, the Leopards improve to 5-3 on the season.
Leopards Cruise Past Rough Riders in Home Sweep
Senior outside hitter Brock Cole paced the Leopards with a stellar all-around effort, recording 10 kills and 5 aces. Senior setter Braden Frank quarterbacked the Louisville offense with 16 assists while also adding 3 aces from the service line.
Senior libero Kyle Deem led the defensive effort with 15 digs, and freshman Ayden Mihelic delivered a strong performance at the net with 6 kills and 2 blocks.
Louisville controlled the action throughout the evening, taking the opening set 25-17 before overwhelming the Rough Riders in the second set 25-10. The Leopards then closed out the match with another 25-17 victory in the third to complete the sweep.

Louisville Earns First Victory Over Kent Roosevelt
The victory marks Louisville’s first win over Kent Roosevelt after dropping their previous four meetings over the past three seasons. The Rough Riders swept the Leopards in their first meeting in 2023. Then Louisville won the first set in each of the next three meetings in the 2024 and 2025 seasons, before Kent Roosevelt closed each match with three consecutive sets to win 3-1.
The Leopards are now 1-4 against the Rough Riders all-time, which includes a 1-1 record when playing at Louisville High School in the series.
