Louisville Overcomes Slow Start in Home Win Vs. Howland – Boys Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team bounced back from a slow start to take down the visiting Howland Tigers in four sets 8-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-16 Thursday night at Louisville High School. With the win, the Leopards even their record at 4-4 on the season.
Leopards Rally After Rough Opening Set
After dropping the first set 25-8, the Leopards flipped the script. Trailing 21-16 in the second set, Louisville rallied for a gritty 26-24 win in the second to level the match.
From there, Louisville found its rhythm, taking the final two sets 25-20 and 25-16 to secure the come-from-behind victory.
Louisville Leaders
Freshman Raiden Lindner sparked the Leopards with a match-high 17 service points, helping to build momentum in crucial stretches. Junior outside hitter Brock Cole delivered another all-around performance, tallying 14 kills, 3 aces, and 3 blocks. Sophomore setter Drew Lindner quarterbacked the offense with 10 assists, while senior libero Kyle Deem anchored the defense with an impressive 30 digs.
The Leopards’ defense and serving proved to be the difference down the stretch as Louisville closed out the final set convincingly to earn their second straight win.
Leopards Even Series with Tigers
With the win, the Leopards even the all-time series with the Tigers at 3-3. Louisville lost at Howland in five sets in their road opener on March 18. The home team has won ever matchup in the series.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team will next travel to take on the Walsh Jesuit Warriors on Monday, April 14. JV will begin at 5:30 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:00 PM from Walsh Jesuit High School.
