Volleyball Sweeps Warriors for Third Straight Win

Louisville 25-25-25, West Branch 15-23-22

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the visiting West Branch Warriors 25-15, 25-23, Beatty's Sports Louisville Ohio Leopards Athletics Navy Blue Shirt25-22 Thursday Evening at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Georgia Kiko led the Leopards with a game-high 14 kills on offense and 1 block on defense. Setting her up was Paige Haren who finished with a game-leading 39 assists.

Sarah Lairson finished as the match’s top server with 12 points and 3 aces for Louisville. Emma Vacha also led the defense with a game-high 15 digs.

West Branch falls to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the NBC with the loss. They were led by Smith who finished JennCanAdwith 8 points, 3 aces, and 6 blocks and E. Wallace who had 13 assists and 9 blocks. W. Wallace also had 9 digs and Zuchowski finished with a team-leading 9 kills for the Lady Warriors.

The Leopards have now defeated the Warriors in 23 of their last 24 meetings overall. They have also taken 11 of their last 12 matches in the series played at LHS.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Alliance to take on the Aviators on Tuesday, September 6. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
