Volleyball Clinches NBC Outright at Canton South

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the host Canton South Wildcats 25-11, 25-12, 25-JennCanAd13 at Charles “Red” Ash Gymnasium Tuesday Evening. With the victory, Louisville clinches the NBC Outright for the second straight year running their conference record to 13-0 and improving their overall record to 19-2.

Page Haren led the Leopards by scoring 13 points and dropping in 4 aces serving and also had a match-leading 31 assists. Georgia Kiko also finished as Louisville’s top hitter with 13 kills on offense.

On defense, Brynn Guist was the Leopards top blocker with 4 blocks and Emma Vacha led the team with 10 digs.

Louisville has now defeated Canton South in 12 straight meetings overall. The victory also gives the Beatty's White Louisville Leopards HoodieLady Leopards their first back-to-back outright league title in team history. 6 of Louisville’s 8 NBC championships have been won Outright.

The Lady Leopards can become the first team in the NBC to go undefeated in the league since Salem went 14-0 in their inaugural year of 2011. The only other time a Louisville team completed an undefeated league season was in 2000.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Carrollton Warriors on Thursday, October 13 looking to complete an undefeated run through the NBC. JV will begin at 5:00 PM, Senior Night will follow, and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
