The Louisville Leopards boys tennis team won their eighth straight match after defeating the crosstown St. Thomas Aquinas Knights 3-2 Wednesday evening at Louisville High School.


Jay Bond and Josh Reyes each won singles matches for the Knights, but Louisville won the rest. Beatty's Sports Baseball Shirt 2012 Spring Sports LogosAnthony Hoover improved to 7-1 on the season by winning his singles match 6-2, 6-2. The doubles team of Vince Burwell and Daniel Thompson also improved to 7-1 after their 6-1, 6-2 victory. Finally, Michael Thomas and Ryan Shepherd also won their doubles match.

Louisville has now taken 6 out of the last 8 match with St. Thomas and is now 19-12 against them all-time.  The Leopards as a team are now 8-1 on the year and will next compete in the Louisville Doubles Classic Saturday morning.
