Megan Hampe scored the only Louisville goal after rebounding a shot by Jenny Hamsher during the Leopards 2-1 loss to the Vikings. Aubry Fankhauser led the Leopards defense.
Paige Haren led all servers with 12 points and also had a game-high 51 assists, but the Leopards fell to the Vikings 29-31, 25-21, 19-25, 25-14, 12-15 in a five set season opening thriller.
Stephen Kerzan went 3-for-4 and Reis Rankin batted 2-for-4, but the Leopards still fell to the Vikings 15-2. Louisville is now 11-13 on the season.
The Lady Leopards have drawn the #6 Seed and will travel to face the #5 Seed Jackson Polar Bears on Monday, May 9 at 4:30 PM in the DI Massillon Sectional Semifinals.
The Leopards have drawn the #10 Seed and will host the #11 Seed Canton McKinley Bulldogs on Wednesday, May 11 at 4:30 PM in the DI Canton Sectional Semifinals.
The Vikings downed the Leopards 3-0 to halt their 4-game winning streak. Peyton McKeever, Teagan Rice, & Emily Cantley had the only hits for Louisville.
Max Hartline batted 2-for-3 with an RBI double, but the Leopards fell to the Vikings 9-3. Austin Cummings and Conner Birone also had RBIs for Louisville who is now 2-1 on the season.
Maddie Moser placed 23rd in the Floor Exercise and 31st for the All-Around to lead the Leopards to an 8th place finish out of 19 teams at the Sectional Meet. Madisyn Seaman also took 34th for the All-Around.
Drew Noble scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Leopards to a 59-56 comeback victory over the Vikings. Chris Libertore also poured in 15.
