Swim Teams Split in Home Meet vs. Lake
The boys and girls swim teams hosted the Lake Blue Streaks Tuesday evening at the Louisville YMCA. The girls remained unbeaten winning their sixth straight dual meet by a convincing 119-51 margin. The boys fell just short of the Lake squad 91-77 to pull even at 3-3 on the year.
With two more first place finishes against the other LHS, Stephanie Brookens continues to remain undefeated for the year in individual events. Matt Campbell also had a pair of first place finishes and is undefeated in individual events for dual meets as well.
Amy Yu had two first place finishes, while Ashley Brookens, Stephanie Horton, and Tatianna Varner each had an individual first place finish for the Lady Leps against Lake.
The girls relay team of Stephanie Spehar, Stephanie Horton, Amy Yu, and Stephanie Brookens finished first in both the 200 Medley and 400 Freestyle relays. The boys relay team of Keegan Ossler, Caleb Walters, Jake Cummings, Matt Campbell also captured first place in the 400 Yard Freestyle.
