Leopards Edge Crosstown Knights in Home Opener – Girls Tennis

Louisville 3, St. Thomas Aquinas 2

The host Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis team edged the crosstown St. Thomas Aquinas Knights 3-2 Thursday at the LHS Tennis Courts. With the victory, Louisville evens their record at 2-2 on the young season.

All three of the Leopards victories came in straight sets. Kennedy Keister won in #2 Singles 6-2, 6-2 and Jo Menegay claimed a 6-4, 6-2 win in #3 Singles. The other Louisville point came in #2 Doubles as Lexi Collins and Mackenzie Murphy dominated their match 6-1, 6-1.

The Knights earned each of their two points in three sets. Robyn Neely won #1 Singles 6-1, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3. The #1 Doubles Team of Sophia Bonda and Hayly Rorie also tallied a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win.
