Louisville 5, Vienna Mathews 2, 4 5/6 Innings

The Lady Leopards overcame an early deficit to defeat last year’s DIV Kent Regional Runner-Up 5-2 in 4 5/6 Innings of play.

Mathews looked dominate from the start as they retired the first 6 Louisville hitters and took a 1-0 advantage. However, the Lady Leopards broke in the third inning as Kylie Zifer led off with a triple and Lexi Givens drove her home to tie the game at 1-1. Louisville took the lead in the top of the fourth when Annie Woolf and Emily Cantley hit back-to-back 1-out doubles.
