Softball Captures 1 First Place Vote, Remains in 2nd

The Lady Leopards captured a first place vote in the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association’s poll for the first time in their history.  However, the Louisville still remains in second place with 85 points behind Lakota East who is number one with 99 points.  Lakota East also has six first place votes.  The only other Stark County team in the poll is softball powerhouse North Canton Hoover, who rounds out the top ten with 25 votes.  Louisville and Hoover will meet in the District Finals if they win their District Semifinal games Thursday in Massillon.  Here’s a look at all four softball polls for each division, with the final poll awaiting release next week:
