Rice’s Clutch Triple Lifts Lady Leps Past Carrollton 6-4

Louisville Vs. Carrollton Girls Softball

Louisville 6, Carrollton 4

It wasn’t easy.  This seems to be the case every time Louisville takes on Carrollton.  However, the Lady Leopards pulled it out when it counted to take the game 6-4 over the Warriors and jump out to a 2-0 start in NBC play.

Chandler Rice hit a two-run triple in the top of the seventh and Brittany Flanigan closed out the deal 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning to pick up her third win of the season for the Lady Leps

Flanigan also had three hits and Katie Cozy added 2 more for the now 4-0 Lady Leopards.

JV REPORT

Louisville 36, Carrollton 5, 4 Innings

Casey Corrigan and Kassidy Lowden each hit home runs as the Lady Leopards JV squad pummeled Carrollton 36-5.  Gear Up with Beatty's Sports The game was called after four innings.  The Warriors JV squad has now given up 62 runs in the past two games (lost to West Branch Tuesday 26-22).  For Louisville, the 36 runs could quite possibly be a record.  I have researched mainly Varsity, but I don’t believe I have ever seen any Leopard Squad score that many runs.  With further research I will be able to confirm this.

  • For those interested, Varsity’s biggest win on record came on April 1, 1998 when the Lady Leps trounced Canton Timken 29-0 in 5 innings.
