Pukys Advances to Districts for 3rd Straight Year
The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis team competed at the DI Harvard Park Sectional Tournament on Thursday and Saturday. Overall Louisville finished 6-2 in Singles Play and 0-2 in Doubles Play.
For the third consecutive year, Louisville’s Jake Pukys advanced to Districts in Singles. He won his first 
two matches a perfect 6-0, 6-0 on Thursday to advanced to the Sectional Quarterfinals. Pukys defeated Boardman’s Brian Hirschi 6-2, 6-0 in the Quarterfinals and then downed Jackson’s Daniel Thomas 7-6(2), 6-2 in the Semifinals. Pukys would finished as Sectional Runner-Up after falling to Jackson’s Joey Thomas in the Sectional Championship match 4-6, 2-6.
The Leopards Ryan Richards also won his first two matches in straight sets before falling in the third round to Boardman’s Donovan Barrett.
