Perry Comeback Ends Louisville’s Season

The Perry Panthers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to down the host Louisville Leopards 3-2 in the DI Boys Beatty's Sports Grey Hat AdSoccer Sectional Semifinal Tournament game Wednesday. With the loss, Louisville finishes the season 5-10-2.

The Leopards captured the early lead with goals from both Brennan Seemann and Micah Neuenschwander in the first half. Seemann scored off an interception in the Panthers own end and also provided the assist on Neuenschwander’s goal with 12:18 left in the second.

Perry cut the Louisville lead in half five minutes later to make the score 2-1 at the half. The Panthers scored again at the 27:45 mark and then took the lead with 12:46 remaining in the contest. The Leopards had their opportunities, but could not find the net. Perry will travel to Jackson to face the top seeded Polar Bears Saturday. Louisville is now 2-2 against Perry all-time.
