There was no shortage of Louisville offense either. Alex Fankhauser went 2-for-2 at the plate with a 2-run double, RBI single, and a sacrifice fly to lead the Leopards. Savannah Miner also homered for the second straight game with a 3-run shot in the second inning.
That dinger capped off a 6-run Louisville second inning that made it 9-0. Kaycee Ollis batted 2-for-2 with an RBI triple and RBI single, Sydney McKeever was 2-for-2 with 3 runs scored, and Rylee Squire also singled home a run for the Leopards.
This was the first meeting between Louisville and Massillon since the 2010 season. The Leopards have now won the last 3 meetings against the Tigers overall and lead the all-time series 17-9.
