Louisville Wins at Carrollton, Unbeaten at Halfway Point – Girls Basketball
Louisville 62, Carrollton 46
The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team earned a 62-46 road victory over the Carrollton Warriors at CHS Saturday Afternoon. With the victory, Louisville improves to 9-3 overall and is now an unbeaten 7-0 at the halfway point of the league schedule.
Abby Beaver led the Lady Leopards with a team-high 11 points and a game-high 9 assists. Danielle Walter also hit 2 three-pointers & broke double digits with 10 points and Alexa Oberster finished with 9 points.
Makes came at a premium inside the Black Hole Saturday. Louisville shot 36% (19 of 52) and Carrollton shot just 30% (17 of 55) from the field. The difference in the content came from beyond the catch. The Leopards made 6 of 18 (33%) three-pointers in the game, while the Warriors failed to cash in on any of their 10 attempts from long range.
Louisville won the battle on the boards 42-36, which included a 27-19 edge in defensive rebounds. Sarah Lairson led the Leopards with a team-high 11 boards, while Jaci Pridemore had a game-high 12 for the Warriors.

Carrollton was led by Mikayla Poole who scored a game-high 13 points and had 8 rebounds. Pridemore also scored 12 points and Maysie Rogers added 9. The Warriors are now 2-8 overall and 1-6 in the NBC after sharing the league title with the Leopards a season ago.
This was Louisville’s first win at Carrollton since their 19-point comeback 61-58 win back on December 17, 2011 at CHS. The Lady Leopards have now taken 2 out of the last 3 and now lead the all-time-series 36-22. Louisville now holds a 16-13 road record against the Lady Warriors in team history.
