“That was a good high school football game,” Louisville Head Coach Paul Farrah said in post game. “You had two teams playing hard-nosed football. One team has to lose, and they were the better team tonight.”

on the Cardinals opening drive and then their offense marched 64 yards in 7 plays before reaching the endzone. Andy Shook scrambled for 15 yards on the opening play of the drive, Jason Farkas then accounted for 28 yards on the next 4 plays, and Shook hit Justin Boudler for a 20 yard gain to the Canfield 1. On the next play, Farkas pounded it in to give the Leps a 7-0 lead with 7:50 left in the first quarter.

The Cardinals would out-gain the Leopards 201-18 after that and Louisville failed to get a first down until late in the second quarter. Canfield’s Tim Dewberry carried the ball 18 times for 67 yards and 2 Touchdowns and Mike Turjanica finished with 137 yards and a touchdown to lead the Cardinals to victory. The Canfield defense also intercepted 4 Louisville passes.

Farkas ran the ball 19 times for 70 yards to give him 1,633 yards on the season. Shook was 10 of 26 passing for 70 yards with the majority of the yardage going to Boudler who made 5 receptions for 61 yards.

“Coach Farrah’s doing a great job there,” Canfield Head Coach Tony Ross talked of Louisville. “They’re playing a lot of young kids. They’re going to be back. Who knows, maybe we’ll match up again next year.”
