White’s defense continued to hold Blue at bay in the next drive. Marc Joseph and Dylan Walczak put pressure on the backfield and the drive stalled before Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio Adreaching midfield. Following that, the Blue Team continued to roll on offense. Degenhard scampered for a gain of 13 for a first down just outside the redzone. Two plays after that, Degenhard connected with Hartline who tip-toed down the left sideline before spinning into the endzone for a 23 yard score.

White’s offense went three-and-out on their next drive, but returned the favor with excellent pressure on defense. Austin Cummings, BJ Singer, and Maverick Pugh were the closest to the quarterback when the whistle blew on three consecutive plays to end the drive.

The White offense kindled that momentum in stringing together their first scoring drive. Quarterback Jared Mathie was 6-of-9 passing on the drive finding Ezekiel Changet, Ryan Pukys, and Bryce Zuppe twice each. The final connection was a 5 yard touchdown strike from Mathie to Zuppe with Jacob Urick paving the way in the middle of the endzone. The score cut the deficit in half at 2-1 heading into the redzone portion of the scrimmage.

Blue possessed the ball first in the overtime-like format, but was setback by a penalty pushing the back to the White 34. After an incompletion, Degenhard hit a streaking Hartline between defenders. He sidestepped the would be tacklers, split the secondary, and busted into the endzone standing up to make it 3-1 Blue.

The White Squad also scored on their only redzone possession. After a penalty put them back on the 25, Mathie connected with Davis Burick on a pass to the left side for a 13 yard gain. Facing 4th-and-1, Mathie also ran to the right for 8 yards to set his team up with a 1st-and-goal on the 3 yard line. Running the option, Mathie took it to paydirt himself on the next play concluding the scrimmage with a score.
