Louisville Leopards Baseball Tournament History
The Louisville Leopards Baseball squad is 40-40 over the past 40 years in the State Baseball Tournament (Note: We only accounted for a loss in 1985, we do not have tournament data for the 1985 season in our records so if there was a win it is not figured in.) In the last 40 years Louisville has won 4 AAA Sectional Titles, 12 Division II Sectional Titles, 1 AAA District Title, and 1 DII District Title.
The Leopards two District Titles came in 1988 and in 2009. Louisville defeated North Canton Hoover 4-2 for the AAA District Crown in 1988 before advancing to the Regional Finals with a 3-0 win over Austintown Fitch. The Leps deepest tournament run ever ended with a heart-breaking 6-5 loss to Brunswick in the Regional Finals. In 2009, Louisville defeated Alliance 6-4 in the DII Canton District Finals before falling to Poland 9-8 in the Regional Semifinals at Hudson.
The only time that Louisville and Fairless met in the postseason came on May 5, 1997 in the Division II Sectional Semifinals. The Leopards defeated the Falcons 12-7 at Fairless. The Leps will host Fairless this time in the Sectional Final on Friday, May 11 at 4:30 PM.
Louisville has faced Canton South (2-4), Canton Timken (2-4), GlenOak (2-4), and Minerva (4-2) a total of six times 
each with the Leopards record against them in parenthesis. Minerva is the only team in the past 40 years that Louisville has beat 4 times, while the Leopards have had the worst success against Central Catholic tallying an 0-5 record against the Crusaders.
The Leopards are 18-13 when hosting tournament games, 6-5 on the road, and 19-21 at neutral sites. There were also 9 games among the history where the l0cation was unaccounted for and Louisville was 3-6 in those contests. By Division in the past 40 seasons, Louisville was 16-19 overall in Division AAA and is 24-21 overall in Division II. Below is a look at the Leopards entire tournament history.
