“It was just a night we seemed to do everything right,” Leopards Head Coach Paul Starkey said following the Louisville Leopards 34-0 shutout of the host Oakwood Golden Raiders back on September 17, 1971. “The defense especially came on and that makes us happy.”

Louisville dominated the line of scrimmage running the ball 42 times for 229 yards as a team. Ken Kuhn ran 16 times for 86 yards and scored the first touchdown of the contest and Hobie Baker also finished with 8 carries for 47 yards and a 15 yard touchdown run to score the last touchdown of the game.
