Louisville Leopards Volleyball Block Out Cancer Match 2017

Louisville 25-25-25, Minerva 18-14-10

Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdThe Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the host Minerva Lions 25-18, 25-14, 25-10 in their Block Out Cancer match Tuesday Evening at MHS. With the victory, Louisville improves to 11-10 on the season overall and ups their record to 9-4 in the NBC.

Emily Phillips finished as the Leopards leading server with 11 points and 3 aces. Morgan Cole setup the offense with a team-high 26 assists. In return, Paige Cole, Emily Fresenko, and Cami Nau all threw down a team-leading 7 kills each.

Louisville Leopards Women's Long Sleeved Jacket - Beatty's Sports Fall 2017On defense, Ellie Jackson finished with a team-high 18 digs and Katelyn Monnot had Louisville’s only block.

The Lady Lions were led by Grace Maley who finished with team-highs of 7 kills and 8 digs. Ella Kendrick was Minerva’s top server with 4 points and also had a team leading 8 assists. Shelby Wheeler also recorded 1 solo and 1 assisted block. The Lions are now 3-18 on the season with a 2-11 record in NBC play.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will conclude the regular season at home against the West Branch Warriors for Senior Night on Thursday, October 12. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
