Louisville Scores 50 in 1st Half at Marlington – Freshman Football
Louisville 50, Marlington 14
The Louisville Leopards Freshman Football Team racked up a half century of points in the first half en route to a 50-14 win over the host Marlington Dukes Thursday Evening at Marlington Stadium. With the win, Louisville improves to 3-0-1 overall and 1-0 against the NBC.
Quarterback Tyler Jackson threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for 2 more to lead the Leopards offensive explosion in the first half. Jackson ran for a 13 yard score and connected with Andy Larson for a 42 yard touchdown in the opening quarter. The pair also hooked up for a two-point conversion strike. Jackson then ran in a touchdown from 10 yards away and next found Jake House for a 20 yard aerial score in the second quarter.
Brady Vanover got Louisville on the board first with an early 30 yard touchdown run. Daniel Kennedy scored the final two Leopards touchdowns on a 5 yard run and a 47 yard interception return on defense. Bryce Rebuck ran in both conversion tries after Kennedy’s touchdowns.
