Leopards Shore Up Road Victory at Lake 3-2 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team edged the host Lake Blue Streaks 3-2 at Lake High School Wednesday. With the win, Louisville improves to 8-4 on the season.

The Lady Leopards won all three singles matches to earn the victory. Rachel Kibler earned a dominate 6-2, 6-0 win in #1 Singles to lead Louisville. Jo Menegay earned a hard fought first set 7-6 (7-4) and doubled up her opposition in the second set 3-2 to take #2 Singles. Finally, Sherilynn Mullett took #3 Singles by a 6-2, 6-2 decision.

The Lady Blue Streaks earned their victories in both doubles matches. The #1 Doubles Team of Kali Aten and Hannah Wilson rallied for a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory. The #2 Doubles Team of Sophie Ball and Eileen Copley won a perfect 6-0, 6-0.

With the win, the Leopards have now defeated the Blue Steaks in their past 10 meetings. Louisville is now 29-4 against Lake all-time.
