Leopards Can’t Tame Bulldogs 47-33 – Girls Basketball
Green 47, Louisville 33
The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host Green Bulldogs 47-33 Wednesday Night at Green High School. With the loss, Louisville drops to 0-3 on the season.
Ellie Jackson finished with a team-high 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals to lead the Lady Leopards. Erin Hahn also pulled down a team leading 8 rebounds and tallied 3 steals. Other top scorers for Louisville included Hanna Lautzenheiser with 6, and both Cassidy Kiko and Rachel Israel with 5.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by Marissa Berlin who scored a game-high 15 points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds. Kelsie Glass matched her with 15 points and also pulled down 5 boards. Savanna Maynard was Green’s other top scorer with 7.
Both team’s shot less than 30% from the field. The Leopards made 14 of 51 (27%) shots compared to the Bulldogs 16 of 56 (28%) attempts made. The key difference in the game came from beyond the arch. Louisville made just 1 of 11 (9%) three-point attempts while Green dropped in 6 of 17 (35%).
With the loss, the Leopards have now dropped 3 straight against the Bulldogs. Louisville is now 3-6 against Green in the all-time head-to-head series , which includes a 1-1 record on the road at GHS.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Canton South to take on the Wildcats on Saturday, December 9. Varsity tip is set for 7:00 PM from the new Canton South High School. There will be no JV game as Canton South does not have a Junior Varsity team this year.
