Leopards Halftime Lead Dwarfed By Comets Second Half 3-1 – Boys Soccer
Coventry 3, Louisville 1
The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team suffered a 3-1 defeat against the host Coventry Comets Thursday Night. With the loss, Louisville falls to 1-4-2 on the year.
Maddox McKimm opened the scoring in the first half to give the Leopards a 1-0 lead. Riley Adams provided the assist on the score and Louisville took the one goal advantage into the break.
The Comets rallied with 3 goals in the second half to take the contest. Austin Lazoran scored a pair for Coventry and Damian Jackson scored the other.
Both goalies, Clayton McLaughlin for the Leopards and Karakis for the Comets, finished with 5 saves a piece.
With the loss, Louisville is now 2-3-1 against Coventry all-time which includes a 1-1 mark in games played on the road in the series. This is the Comets first victory over the Leopards since 2002 when they won by a count of 4-3.
