Canton McKinley 77, Louisville 63

Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdThe Louisville Leopards fell to the host Canton McKinley Bulldogs 77-63 in the season opener Tuesday Night at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse.

Brandon Wahl hit 5 of the Leopards 10 three-pointers and finished with a team-high 19 points to lead Louisville. Derek Zeller also threw down 4 three-pointers and dropped home 16 for LHS. Davis Burick, Spencer Hall, and Bryce Zuppe each added 6 a piece as well.

McKinley pulled ahead 37-27 by halftime and 56-41 at the end of three. The Leopards outscored the Bulldogs 22-21 in the final period after that.

Canton McKinley was led by Deontae McCollum who scored a game-high 22 points and Kobe Johnson who poured in 17. Both McCollum and Johnson each hit 3 three-pointers a piece. Charles Hatcher also added 8 for the Bulldogs.

Louisville is now 1-9 all-time against Canton McKinley.

The Leopards JV Team fell to the host Bulldogs 68-56 in their season opener Tuesday at the Fieldhouse.

Collin Chambers scored a game-high 13 points and Jimmy Wright also scored double figures with 11 to lead Louisville. Both Chambers and Wright hit 3 three-pointers a piece as the Leopards scored 9 times from downtown. Cory Noble also posted 9 and Scott Gronow 8 for the Leopards.

Canton McKinley was led by Jameel Conley who scored a game-high 14. Xavier Black, Crisjean Hall, and Jasper Robinson also all hit double digits with 10 each.
