The Louisville Lady Leopards fell to the host West Branch Lady Warriors 56-44 Wednesday Evening. With the loss, Louisville is now 2-4 overall and 2-2 in NBC play.
The Warriors outscored the Leopards in each of the first three quarters, but Louisville did managed to score 18 in the final period. Hollyann Mullett scored 8 of her team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter. Emily Nees also scored 7 of her 9 points in the final period. Freshman Abby Beaver also added 8 for the game.
West Branch was led by Taryn Hahn who scored a game-high 17 points and brought down a game-high 10 rebounds, Melinda Trimmer who also broke double digits with 10 and added 7 assists, and Erica Johnson who scored 8 points and also grabbed 10 boards.
The glass was the difference in the contest as the Warriors out-rebounded the Leopards 39-16. Taylor Noble led Louisville with 6 boards.
With the loss, the Leopards are now 19-33 against the Warriors all-time which includes a 6-20 record at West Branch. The Warriors have now taken 4 of the last 6 from the Leopards all of which have come at Beloit.
