The Leopards had defeated the Wildcats in 14 straight meetings before Canton South earned a season sweep this year. The Lady Cats earned a 5-0 shutout at Louisville in their first matchup back on August 23. That loss snapped the Leopards unprecedented 67-match conference winning streak, the longest in the history of the Northeastern Buckeye Conference for any sport.

Louisville had won the previous 7 NBC Girls Tennis Titles outright, but the Wildcats can clinch the league outright with a road win over the Salem Quakers Wednesday. This is Canton South’s fourth NBC Championship in Girls Tennis since 2006 and would be their third outright. This is also their first league title in any girls sport since 2009 when both Girls Tennis and Girls Basketball earned crowns for CSHS.
