Louisville Comes Out On Top Against Alliance 10-6

The Louisville Lady Leopards came out on top of a rollercoaster 10-6 victory over visiting Alliance Thursday. With the victory, Louisville is now 4-3 overall and remains a perfect 4-0 in NBC play.
The Leopards pounced on the Aviators through the first five innings to take a 7-1 lead. However, 
Alliance scored 5 runs in the top of the sixth to cut that lead to the smallest of margins. Louisville responded by scoring 3 insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to stay undefeated in the conference.
Grace Jackson was 1 for 2 at the plate and brought runners home via a sacrifice fly and a 2-run home to right-center. The dinger was her fourth of the season and the Lady Leopards 10th as a team.
Keri Hupp also had 2 RBI hits in the game and Amy Hoover batted 3-for-3 with 3 doubles. Emily Cantley, Hoover, and Jackson all scored two runs a piece.
In the circle, Morgan Harris pitched 5.1 innings, struck out 5, and improved to 2-2 on the season. Kirsten Wharmby also earned her first career save in pitching the remaining 1.1 innings, allowing no hits or runs, and striking out 2.
Louisville has now defeated Alliance 9 consecutive times and leads the all-time series 17-5. The Lady Leopards have now won 59 out of their last 60 conference games.
