Louisville 23, Northwest 0

After a scoreless first half, Louisville scored three second half touchdowns in a 23-0 shutout of host Northwest on October 22, 1993.

“We had to decide that the second half had to be ours,” Leopard Head Coach Rick Crislip said. “Our attitude, pride, and hard work did it for us. It had to come from inside.”

Quaterback Ryan Crislip’s 7 yard touchdown run in the third quarter gave Louisville a lead that they would never relinquish. Crislip was also resourceful when a low snap forced him to roll out on the extra point try. Crislip threw on the run and found Tim Parker in the middle of the endzone to put the Leopards up 8-0. Crislip would finish the evening 9-of-23 passing for 105 yards.

Louisville broke the game wide open with two scores in a span of five plays. Crislip scored on a 4 yard touchdown run and then pitched to runningback Dan Wilson for the two-pointer conversion. Then Fullback Chris Menegay broke free from 25 yards out and Bob Burick’s extra point put the Leopards ahead 23-0.

Burick would finish with 6 catches for 72 yards and Wilson also caught 3 passes for 33 yards. The Indians biggest threat came in the first half when they drove to the Louisville 2. However, Ben Biery recovered a fumble and the drive ended. The victory improved the Leps to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the NBC.
