Little Leopards Week 4

5th-6th Grade

Packers 32, Chiefs 0

Four different Packers scored touchdowns and Cameron King booted through 4 extra point kicks as the Packers beat the Chiefs 32-0 in the opening game.

The Packers began their scoring with a touchdown pass from Cameron Lingle to Kaleb McCartney.  Before the first half ended Blake Robbins, Max Hartline, and Brayden Rendrew all scored on touchdown runs to take a 32-0 lead.

The Packers cruised to victory after that.  The shutout is the Packers third straight and improves them to 3-0-1, while the Chiefs loss drops them to 1-3-0.  The Packers have now outscored their opponents 100-6 this season.

Cowboys 32, Rams 0

The Cowboys earned their fourth straight shutout with a 32-0 win over the Rams Sunday.  Joey Knopp scored on two touchdown runs in the first half and Jared Mathie, Conner Birone, & Ryan Pukys added touchdown runs in the second half.  Marc Joseph also converted an extra point kick after the first score of the contest.

The Cowboys have now outscored their opponents 92-0 this season and improve to 3-0-1, while the Rams fall to 0-4-0.

7th-8th Grade

Browns 14, Lions 0

Beatty's Sports 2012 Football ShirtQuarterback Brody Hahn scored on an 11 yard touchdown run with 48 seconds to go in the first half to give the Browns a lead they would never relinquish.  The touchdown was setup by a long pass completion from Hahn to Corey White.  White along with Gavin Birone also had interceptions to lead the Browns defense.  Hahn also ran for a breakaway touchdown in the second half and  earlier in the first half hooked up with Nathan Hostetler for a 39 yard completion that changed field position to favor the Browns.

For the Lions, B.J. Singer caught an interception and Casey Nau also had a fumble recovery.  The Browns 14-0 victory moves both teams to 2-2 on the year.

Colts 26, Bears 13

Tyler Adams scored three rushing touchdowns to lead the Colts who clinched at least a share of the 7th-8th Grade Division Title with a 26-13 win over the Bears.

The Colts defense forced 4 turnovers during the win.  Dillon English picked off two passes, while Chris Libertore & Trent Degenhard each recovered Bears fumbles.  Mike Seaman also ran in a touchdown for the Colts.

Cade Stertzbach scored both rushing touchdowns for the Bears who drop to 0-4, while the Colts remain perfect at 4-0.

UP NEXT: Week 5 of Little Leopards will take place Sunday, September 30.  The 7th-8th grade squads will follow the 5th-6th grade games with the Colts facing the Browns and the Lions battling the Bears.
