Libertore Scores 21 as Lady Leps Crush Northwest 57-37

Louisville Leopards Alma Mater in Old Gym

The Louisville Lady Leopards (5-0, 2-0) held their undefeated record intact by pounding the Northwest Indians (3-1, 2-1) 57-37 Saturday afternoon.  Northwest held a slim 13-11 lead after the end of the first quarter, but in the end they had no answer for star junior Brianna Libertore who scorched the Indians for 21 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds.  The Lady Leps scored 19 points in the second quarter and held Northwest to just 3 points in the third.  A large key to the Leopards victory was dominating on the boards 33-24.  Alyssa Jones added 9 points, while Mackenzie Storlie added 8.  Another “test” (in that Northwest was 3-0 coming into the game) and another dominating performance for the Lady Leopards.

NEXT: West Branch at Home on Wednesday, December 15.  JV will tip-off at 6:00 and Varsity will begin at approximately 7:30.
