Leopards Track Season Gets Under Way

Noah Chaplick, Ben Tornow, Zach Fresenko, Nick Chaplick Leopards Track 4x1600 Relay Team

The Louisville Leopards opened up the 2015 season at the North Canton Relays on Saturday and then Beatty's Sports Louisville Leopards Lacrosse Light Blue Shirt 2015began NBC play at Carrollton on Tuesday. The Lady Leopards defeated the Lady Warriors 85-42. The Boys Team finished 4th out of 8 teams at the North Canton Relays, but were downed by the host Warriors 72-56.

Highlights at North Canton included the Boys 4×1600 and 4×800 relay teams taking first place. Both teams were made up of the same four boys that included Nick Chaplik, Noah Chaplik, Zach Fresenko, and Ben Tornow.

At Carrollton, the Lady Leopards placed first in 10 of the 16 events. Brynn Guist spearheaded the cause by winning the High Jump, 100 Hurdles, and 300 Hurdles Individually. Abby Beaver also took first in the 100 meter dash and was part of 3 different Louisville relay teams that captured victory.

The Warriors won 11 of the 16 events on the Boys side. There were no multi-event winners for the Leopards Boys.
