Louisville 51, Ravenna 33

Drew Noble scored 17 points and brought down 10 rebounds to lead Louisville to a 51-33 road victory at Ravenna Saturday Night. With the victory, the Leopards are now 6-2 on the year.

After playing to a 15-15 tie at the end of one, Louisville took command of the game by outscoring Ravenna 12-2 in the second quarter. The Ravens trimmed the Leopards lead to 6 at the end of three before the Leps outscored them 17-5 in the final stanza.

Louisville’s defense held Ravenna to 33 points on the evening, the same total Blake Hoover scored alone against Minerva just one night before. Hoover would finish Saturday’s game with 13 points and Bryce Mathie also added 8. Seven different Leopards had steals in the game and both Noble & Jake Pukys had 4 assists each.

The charity stride proved to make a big difference in the contest as Ravenna out-fouled Louisville 19-7. The Leopards converted 17 of 20 (85%) attempts from the line while the Ravens were just 1 of 2 (50%).

With the victory, Louisville has now defeated Ravenna in 6 straight meetings and leads the all-time series 9-6. The Ravens have not beaten the Leopards since December 17, 1954 a contest they won 66-54.
