Louisville 26, Dover 16

The Louisville Leopards Freshman Football team defeated the host Dover Tornadoes 26-16 Thursday Evening at Crater Stadium. With the victory, the Leopards finish the season 8-1.

After spotting Dover an early touchdown, Louisville scored 26 unanswered points to take command of Beatty's Sports Grey Polo Adthe game. Casey Nau scored two touchdowns on the ground and Tyler Adams caught a touchdown & ran for another score. Brody Hahn broke free of a sack before he hit Adams down the right sideline for a 41 yard touchdown that gave the Leopards a 12-8 halftime lead. Hahn would later connect with Michael Seaman for a two-point conversion and Corey White also made several big grabs.

Louisville also made some big plays on defense and special teams. White, Nau, and Jordan Weaver all recovered onside kicks during the contest. Adams partially blocked a punt early on and just before halftime made the tackle on the punter after the snap sailed over his head. Dillon Deckerd & Jesse Curlutu combined for a sack in the fourth quarter and Chase Lautzenheiser brought down the Tornado Quarterback to help halt their final drive.

The Leopards got the ball back with 2:34 remaining. Adams broke free for a long run to the Dover 1 and that’s where Louisville took a knee to ice the game. The Leopards closed the 2013 campaign by winning 7 straight games.
