Louisville Leopards Basketball Navy Blue Shirt - Beatty's Sports 2017The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell to the visiting Lake Blue Steaks on Senior Night Tuesday at Louisville High School. With the loss, Louisville drops to 15-6 overall on the season with a 4-4 record in non-conference play.

Cam King hit 4 three-pointers and scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Leopards. Spencer Hall and Senior Brandon Wahl also scored double digits with 11 points. Senior Derek Zeller finished with a game-high 5 rebounds for Louisville.

Lake (18-3) was led by Mitch Spotleson who scored a game-high 17 points and recorded a team-high 4 rebounds. Jeremy Brady also scored 16 points and Kameron Casey added 12. Brady, Casey, and Jake Maranville all registered 2 three-pointers each for the Blue Streaks.

A pair of buckets by Hall gave Louisville the early 4-2 lead, but Lake answered back with a 10-0 run and never trailed again. The Blue Streaks led 17-9 at the end of the first and extended their advantage to double digits by halftime at 29-19.

Lake shot 63% from the field for the game, but upped that mark to a science fiction-like 82% in the third quarter. The Blue Streaks made all 4 of their three-pointers in outscoring the Leopards 23-14 in the third to take a commanding 52-33 lead into the final quarter. Louisville outscored Lake 16-10 in the fourth quarter, but could not trim the final deficit under double digits.

The loss snaps the Leopards 5 game-winning streak as they finish the regular season with a 7-4 mark at home. The Blue Streaks have won the last two meetings between the two teams and 6 of the past 8 overall. Louisville now trails the all-time series 12-20 dating back to their first known game against Lake in 1980.
