Louisville Leopards Vs. St. Thomas Aquinas Knights Girls Basketball Scrimmage

Louisville 52, St. Thomas Aquinas 41

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated the visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Knights 52-41 in a three period scrimmage Tuesday at LHS.

Grace Jackson scored a team-high 12 points and Sarah Lairson poured in 10 to lead Louisville. Abby Beaver, Sabryna Benzel, and Alexa Oberster each added 8 points each to balance out the Leopards attack.

The two squads played three 16 minute periods with a running clock in each. The crosstown foes tied in Beatty's Sports I love Footballthe first session 15-15 with Oberster burying a game-tying three-pointer with 21 seconds remaining. The Leopards would defeat the Knights in the next two sessions 14-7 and 23-19.

In JV Action, Louisville outscored St. Thomas 34-22 in three sessions as well. The Leopards rallied from a 7-1 deficit to take the first period 8-7. Katie Hollifield scored what proved to be the game winning basket with 25 seconds left. Louisville won the next two sessions by a count of 14-6 and 12-9.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host Garaway and Perry in a three-way scrimmage on Friday, November 21 at 6:00 PM.
