Lady Leopards Use Season Low to Win At Salem

Louisville 189, Salem 238

The Louisville Lady Leopards shot a season low as a team during a 189-238 over the Salem Quakers at Salem Golf Club Monday. With the victory, Louisville is now 5-3 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

Sierra Townsend again held the match low score of 42. However, it was Summer Walters who had her Beatty's Sports Long Sleeved Leopard Nationcareer best day by shooting a 44. Head Coach Ted Cahill spoke of Walters success on the course, “Fast, well manicured greens seemed to fit Summer perfectly. Lifetime low 44!”

Bailey Spring (51) and Aubrey Leone (52) were also solid on the day to round out the scoring for Louisville. Due to the cancellation of Wednesday’s match against Fairless, the Lady Leopards will have a full week of practice before they travel to Sleepy Hollow to take on host Alliance September 3.

LEOPARDS SCORES: Sierra Townsend 42, Summer Walters 44, Bailey Spring 51, Aubrey Leone 52, Logan Anderson 56, Gabby Spehar 58. TEAM TOTAL = 189.

QUAKERS SCORES: Courtney Halter 46, Megan Hoover 59, Sarai Bodine 59, Marly Zeigler 74. TEAM TOTAL = 238.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Alliance to take on the Aviators on Wednesday, September 3. Tee-time is set for 4:00 PM at Sleepy Hollow.
