Lady Leopards Snubbed in First AP Poll, Take 11th

Despite being 11-0, the Lady Leopards girls basketball team did not place in the top 10 of the first OHSAA High School Girls Division I Basketball Poll.  Louisville received 54 total votes to place them in 11th place, just three votes behind Notre Dame and Fairborn who had 57.  The only other team in Stark County to place higher than the Lady Leps was defending State Champion Canton McKinley.  The Bulldogs are 9-0 and in first place with 254 votes, which is 77 more than second place Twinsburg.

The only Louisville opponent that received AP Poll votes was Canton Central Catholic.  The Crusaders are currently in 11th place in Division III with 49 votes received.  The Leopards and Crusaders were scheduled to play tonight, but the snow has cancelled all after school activities at Central.  The Lady Leopards will instead travel to Canton Central Catholic tomorrow to take on the Crusaders, with JV tipping at 6:00 and Varsity following at approximately 7:30.
