Louisville Lady Leopards Soccer 2012 Vs. Carrollton

Video Highlights

Louisville 4, Carrollton 0

Rachel Baughman tallied a hat trick and Sami Keefe also scored during the Louisville Lady Leopards 4-0 win over Carrollton at Louisville Leopards Stadium Wednesday evening.  The win marks the Lady Leopards 7th straight and ties them with the 2004 team for the most consecutive matches played without a loss (that team won 4 straight and then followed that with 3 straight ties).

The Leopards scored three goals in the first half.  The first came less than four minutes into the game when Sarah Jaroszyk forwarded a pass to Baughman who netted Beatty's Sports Grey Louisville Athletics T-Shirtit from the goal box.  The second score came when Lizz Stefanik delivered a perfect corner kick off the head of Baughman and into the net from 8 yards out.  The Leopards had 5 corner kicks on the evening to nil for Carrollton.  During another kick from the right corner, Stefanik delivered her second assist.  On the other end of the boot was Sami Keefe who scored her first goal of the season.

Baughman would go on to record her fourth Hat Trick of the season in the second half making it 4-0 Leopards.  With the goal, Baughman matched her Freshman season total of 19 from a year ago in just 9 games.  Louisville cruised to victory after that.

Louisville out-shot Carrollton 35-3 and all three saves were credited to Leopards Senior Goalie Lauren Skolosh.

The Lady Leps now stand at 8-1, 3-0 on the season.  With the West Branch Warriors falling to the Salem Quakers Wednesday night, Louisville and Minerva remain alone atop the NBC with 3-0 records.
