Lady Leopards Golf Takes 3rd at Tri-County Meet, Defeats Lake

Tri-County Preseason Tournament: Louisville – 353 (3rd Out of 15)

The Lady Leopards Golf Team shot a 353 to finish in 3rd place out of 15 teams at the Tri-County Preseason Tournament at Pleasantview Golf Course Monday. Dover won tournament by finishing with a score  of 337.

Louisville was led by Sierra Townsend who shot an 80 and finished in 3rd place individually overall. She also received 1st Team All-Tournament Honors.

Rounding out the scoring and finishing with 2nd Team All-Tournament Honors were Gina McVey (88), Adrienne Metzger (91), and Katie Warga (94)

Louisville 189, Lake 220

The Lady Leps also defeated Lake 189-220 in the season opener at Skyland Pines on Thursday, August 8.

The Leopards were led by Sierra Townsend who shot a 44 for the match. Rounding out the scoring for Louisville was Adrienne Metzger (45), Katie Warga (46), and Gina McVey (54).

With the win, the Leopards are now 3-1 all-time against the Blue Streaks including 2-0 at home. The victory is also the first for the career of new Head Coach Mary Snode.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next compete in the Tri-County Preseason Tournament at Pleasantview Golf Course starting at 9 AM on Monday, August 12. The next dual match will be on Tuesday, August 13 at 1 PM when the Lady Leopards travel to Carrollton to open NBC play.
