Louisville took a commanding 31-13 lead into halftime and withstood a Canton South comeback to claim a 50-39 home NBC victory Saturday. With the win, Louisville is now 2-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

Hollyann Mullett scored 10 of her game-high 15 points in the opening quarter as Louisville built a double digit advantage at the end of one. Emily Nees also poured in 10 points and Sabryna Benzel added 8.

The Wildcats made things interesting by beginning the second half on a 13-2 run. The Leopards Beatty's NBC Shirts Front Back copymanaged to score just 6 points in the entire third quarter and 4 of them came in the final 15 seconds. The first field goal came via a Mullett steal and score. Then after a South miss, Rachel Zeller grabbed the rebound and passed the ball to Abby Beaver. She then dribbled across the timeline and heaved a pass to Benzel who laid it in at the buzzer.

The Leopards used the momentum to end the third to take a 49-34 advantage. Canton South managed to play even with Louisville in the final period, but it would not nearly be enough as the Leps rolled to a double digit victory.

With the victory the Leopards have now defeated the Wildcats in 7 straight meetings. Louisville now leads the all-time series 58-23 which includes a 31-10 record at home.
