Lacrosse Downed By Columbus Academy in 1st Road Game
Columbus Academy 12, Louisville 7
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Lacrosse team fell to the host Columbus Academy Vikings 12-7 Saturday Afternoon in the first road game in team history. With the loss, Louisville drops to 7-2 on the season.
Jake Mathie and Austin Terra each scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards. Jared Holland also scored a goal and added an assist. Other goal scorers for Louisville included Jimmy Gibson & Nate Hostetler.
Columbus Academy scored the first four goals of the game before building a 10-1 lead in the second quarter. The Leopards continued fighting and outscored the Vikings 5-2 in the second half, but the damage had already been done. Louisville will look to rebound against another clan of Vikings on Monday.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the North Canton Hoover Vikings on Monday, May 11. JV will begin at 5:30 PM and Varsity will start at 7:30 PM.
