JV Football Blows Out Minerva 40-0

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS:

Louisville 40, Minerva 0

The Louisville Leopards JV Football team blew out the Minerva Lions 40-0 Saturday morning at Louisville Leopards Stadium.

Louisville’s first touchdown was set up by a 30-yard punt return by Garrett Yoder.  Then, the Leopards offense drove the final 27 yards capping off the drive with a 7 yard up the gut run by quarterback Joey Duckworth to make it 6-0 Leps.

The Leopards next drive included a 45-yard run by Trey Hayford and a 27-yard pass from Duckworth to Trevor Hostetler putting the Leopards on the Minerva 2-yard-line.  Hayford blasted through the middle to make it 12-0 Leopards.

Another defensive stop by the Leopards gave them the ball back and the offense wasted no time getting on the board again.  Duckworth found Hostetler deep down the left side line and he took it to the house.  A conversion run by Alex Hollifield made it 20-0 Leps, a lead they would take into the break.

On the opening second half drive, Hayford broke free again for 36 yards dragging tacklers to the Minerva 19-yard-line.  Three plays later Duckworth found Hostetler in the back of the endzone to put Louisville up 27-0.

Before the game ended, backup quarterback Garrett Robbins ran in touchdowns from 28 and 7 yards away to give Louisville a 40-0 advantage.  An interception by Zach Shea set up the Leopards at midfield before Robbins ran in his second touchdown.

The JV improves to 3-2 on the year and remains an undefeated 3-0 in the NBC.

NEXT UP: The Leopards will host the Alliance Aviators on Saturday, October 1 at 10 AM.
