Girls Lacrosse Avenges Only Loss Against Golden Eagles
Louisville 8, GlenOak 3
The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Lacrosse Team avenged their only loss of the season with an 8-3 victory over the visiting GlenOak Golden Eagles at Louisville Leopards Stadium Saturday Afternoon. With the victory, Louisville improves to 5-1 on the year.
Alexa Oberster and Marissa Vick each scored a pair of goals to lead the Lady Leopards. Oberster also had the only assist in the game. Emily Hollifield, Liz Pugh, Emily Shea, and Mandy Wesely also added goals for Louisville.
The Leopards scored the first four goals of the contest and held the Golden Eagles off the scoreboard for the first 24:08 of the game. Sarah Hattas notched GlenOak’s first goal with 52 seconds left in the first half as Louisville went into the break up 4-1.
Morgan Schuerch would add two goals in the second half for the Golden Eagles and cut the Leopard lead to 6-3 with 13:25 left in the game. Louisville would hold GlenOak scoreless the rest of the way to ice the victory.
Katie Hollifield had a team-high 4 groundballs and Emily Hollifield, Oberster, Pugh, & Regan Thomas finished with 2 groundballs each.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to St. Joseph Academy SG (PA) to take on the Jaguars on Tuesday, April 26 at 6:00 PM.
