Girls Golf Wins 5th Straight Meeting Over Salem
Louisville 200, Salem 223
The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Golf Team defeated the visiting Salem Quakers 200-223 Monday at Skyland Pines Golf Club. With the win, Louisville is now 2-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Sierra Townsend finished with a match low score of 42 to lead the Lady Leopards. In addition, the duo of sisters each scored as Abby Beaver shot a 48 and Alexis Beaver finished with a score of 54. Felicity Adkins also carded a 56.
The Quakers were led by Courtney Halter who shot a team best 50. Rounding out the scoring for Salem were Marly Zeigler 54, Megan Hoover 56, and Camryn Riley & Makala Stoffer who shared the fourth spot with a total of 63 each.
With the victory, Louisville has now defeated Salem in five consecutive meetings. The Lady Leopards now lead the all-time series 7-2, which includes a 4-1 mark at Skyland Pines.
