Girls Golf Rebounds at Tri-County Preseason Tournament

Louisville – 350 (3rd Out of 19)

The Lady Leopards rebounded from their 15th place finish at the Lady Rider Invitational Saturday by placing 3rd at the Tri-County Preseason Tournament. Nineteen teams competed in the tournament at Pleasant View Golf Course Tuesday with the Dover Tornadoes winning with a team score of 317.

Garaway and Louisville tied for second place as each finished with a team tally of 350. However, the Pirates won the fifth man tie breaker dropping the Leopards to third.

Despite losing the tie-breaker, the 350 stroke total was an LHS school record for an 18-hole course. The previous Louisville record was 353 held by he 2013 team in the Tri-County Preseason Tournament at Pleasant View back on August 12, 2013 and also the 2010 team who shot 353 in the Sectional Tournament at Turkeyfoot on October 5, 2010.

Sierra Townsend finished 3rd individually in carding a 79. Abby Beaver and Gabby Spehar both stroked a lifetime low 89 to place 9th as well. Beaver and Townsend finished as 1st Team Tri-County with Spehar taking 2nd Team Tri-County.

Bailey Spring shot a 42 on the back nine to round out the scoring with a tally of 93.
