Girls Golf Places Third at Tri-County Preseason Tournament
Louisville – 377 (3rd Out of 20)
The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team opened up the 2016 season with a third place finish out of 20 teams at the Tri-County Preseason Tournament Tuesday. Louisville shot 377 as a team in the 18-hole tournament on their new home course of Pleasant View Golf Club.
Sierra Townsend placed fourth individually to make the Tournament’s 1st Team. Townsend shot a team best 85 to lead the Leopards. Abby Beaver also made the Tournament’s 2nd Team after carding a 92 for Louisville.
Also scoring for the Lady Leopards were Alexis Beaver 99 and Sara Centore 101. Rounding out the Varsity Squad was Jess Risher 109 and Karli Redinger 121.
The brutal heat took its tool and wore down the teams throughout the tournament. That, along with the nerves of the new season, resulted in scores that were higher than normal.
