Girls Golf Gets Redemption Against Marlington on Senior Night

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team avenged their only loss of the season by defeating the visiting JennCanAdMarlington Dukes 170-185 at Pleasant View Golf Club Thursday on Senior Night. With the victory, Louisville improves to 15-1 overall and moves into first place with an NBC record of 10-1.

Senior Sierra Townsend shot a match low 35 to lead the Leopards. Fellow Senior Abby Beaver also shot a 43 in matching her sister Alexis Beaver. Sara Centore shot a 49 to round out the Louisville final total.

The Dukes were led by Erica Headley who shot a team low 43. Rounding out the scoring for Marlington Louisville Leopards Blue Women's Shirt Fall 2016 - Beatty's Sportswere Hannah Canale 45, Kaitlyn Engelhart 48, and Bella Warner 49. The loss was the first for the Lady Dukes this season as they fall to 14-1 overall and 9-1 in NBC competition.

The Leopards have now defeated the Dukes in 9 out of their last 10 meetings. Louisville now leads the all-time series 10-2 overall, which includes a 6-0 mark at home.
