Girls Golf Gets Redemption Against Marlington on Senior Night

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team avenged their only loss of the season by defeating the visiting 
Marlington Dukes 170-185 at Pleasant View Golf Club Thursday on Senior Night. With the victory, Louisville improves to 15-1 overall and moves into first place with an NBC record of 10-1.
Senior Sierra Townsend shot a match low 35 to lead the Leopards. Fellow Senior Abby Beaver also shot a 43 in matching her sister Alexis Beaver. Sara Centore shot a 49 to round out the Louisville final total.
The Dukes were led by Erica Headley who shot a team low 43. Rounding out the scoring for Marlington 
were Hannah Canale 45, Kaitlyn Engelhart 48, and Bella Warner 49. The loss was the first for the Lady Dukes this season as they fall to 14-1 overall and 9-1 in NBC competition.
The Leopards have now defeated the Dukes in 9 out of their last 10 meetings. Louisville now leads the all-time series 10-2 overall, which includes a 6-0 mark at home.
