Girls Cross Country Wins 1st NBC Title Since 2012

Louisville Leopards Girls Cross Country 2016 NBC Champions

Louisville – 49 (1st Out of 7)

The Louisville Leopards Girls Cross Country Team took 1st place at the NBC Meet to claim their first http://www.facebook.com/JenniferLBolyard/league title since 2012 Saturday at Copeland Oaks. Louisville finished with a team score of 49 which bettered second place Carrollton by 9 places. Minerva also took 3rd and Marlington 4th.

The Leopards Morgan Cole finished with a team best time of 19:21.3 which was good enough for 3rd place in the NBC overall. Cassidy Kiko (6:28.2) also took 6th and Nicole Israel (6:30.8) placed 7th to round out Louisville’s top performers.

Also scoring for the Leopard were Regan Thomas (16th) and Emma Patterson (17th). Rounding out the Beatty's Grey Long SleeveLouisville Varsity were Kayla Gibson (20th) and Hailey Miller (23rd) who competed against an NBC field of 49 runners.

Carrollton’s Maddie Dunlap was the NBC’s individual champion with a time of 19:03.3. Alyssa Viscounte from Marlington also took second.

The Louisville Leopards Girls Cross Country program has now captured 6 NBC Championships in their history. With the title, Lady Leopards athletics successfully won 5 of 5 NBC Titles this Fall, a feat that has never been previously accomplished by Louisville Girls Sports in a single sports season.
