Football Intersquad Scrimmage Highlights & Recap

Louisville Leopards Football 2014 Intersquad Scrimmage

Blue 3, White 3

The Louisville Leopards Football Intersquad Scrimmage took place Saturday at Louisville Leopards Stadium. The Blue Squad tied the White Squad 3-3 in terms of touchdowns scored.

The big play came via the first score. Quarterback Jake Adams Beatty's Sports White Hat Adconnected with Wide Receiver Kyle Woost for a 75 yard touchdown strike for the White Team.

The Blue Team answered back with a 33 yard touchdown pass from Joe Crank to Alec Jones. Then on defense Josh Swanson, who picked off a pass on Blue’s first defensive possession, tipped a pass to teammate Brock Haren. Haren grabbed the interception and returned it 45 yards to the White 23. The Blue Squad capitalized on this takeaway when Crank found the endzone from 4 yards out.

Both teams scored on their first Goal-To-Go Possessions. Austin Shaheen recorded an interception for the Blue Squad to end the next Goal-To-Go Possession.

The scrimmage ended after the White Team’s Frankie Falcone threw Crank for a big loss on first down. Falcone was a menace in the backfield all evening and recovered a fumble on their opening defensive possession as well. The play was whistled dead, but since Falcone would have likely taken it the distance it counted as a score for the White Squad.

NOTE: The score at the end of the video should be 3-3 as the result of Falcone’s fumble recovery being counted as a score.
